We were particularly honored to have initiated and chaired the Scientific Committee of the ATFC - AFRICAN CONFERENCE ON TRANSPORT FINANCE which was held in Abidjan, Sofitel Hotel Ivoire, on April 8, 9 and 10, 2025 in Abidjan.
The organization of this High-Level Conference stems from a major event:
Indeed, during our various missions with funding agencies, or with our clients from the public and private sectors, several Transport Modes and Infrastructure projects encountered certain difficulties in:
- either raise the appropriate funds to finance them;
- or, quite simply, to understand that there is an irreversible dynamic which is the Imperative Decarbonization of their Transport activities in order to obtain significant funding from these donors;
These two points explain the theme of the ATFC, which is:
"What Financing is Available for the Decarbonization of Infrastructure and Modes of Transport in Africa?"
Also, and still within the framework of these missions, we observed and analyzed the investments and achievements of several public or private structures; investments which have contributed to strongly decarbonizing Multimodal Transport activities in Africa.
Thus, with several members of these Development Institutions, as well as a dozen recognized independent experts in the Transport sector in Africa, a very thorough scientific analysis has been carried out in recent months, so that several awards can be given to African public and private companies which have, in recent years, contributed to making our Transport Environment SUSTAINABLE.
This scientific approach has thus convinced most of the major funders to officially partner with the ATFC, namely:
AfDB, African Development Bank;
European Investment Bank (EIB);
Enabel ;
To that end, we deeply thank all their Senior Executive Representatives who did us the honor of presenting the major challenges of the sector as well as their financing vehicles available to support the players in Multimodal Transport in Africa.
We also congratulate this year's winners, who are:
- The AGL group which was awarded the "DELIÔZ GREEN PORT AWARD" for their investments which have contributed to decarbonizing and digitizing their global logistics activities in Africa;
- The PAA, Autonomous Port of Abidjan, which was awarded the "DELIÔZ WAF INVESTMENTS PORT AWARD";
- the PAPN, Autonomous Port of Pointe-Noire, the "DELIÔZ Central Africa INVESTMENTS PORT AWARD";
- The airline "AIR CÔTE D'IVOIRE" received the "DELIÔZ AIRLINES AWARD"
